Cutting the cord (this again!)

I’ve been putting the cash we saved from ditching Optimum in its own account each month. I even added Gotham Sports for the NYY at $25/mo and w/YTTV, still saving $115/mo.

So, $140/mo for 2 months, now 2 more months @$115/mo. $510 bigguns inda bank.

Optimum sucks so bad, I hope they go under.

Similar situation to @tonyride when canceling; they are banking on they are so inept and so incompetent making canceling so inconvenient you get frustrated and don’t cancel. Trying to bill for 30 days extra service, go scratch.

So we dropped Comcast about 2 years now went from 245 a month to 95 for internet then went for disney/hulu and peacock all told we are saving over 100 a month now.
We ended up getting 3 Roku boxes one time cost between those and the streaming I get more content than I can watch.
Can't see myself going back at all.

Optimum again, two months later. It had crept up to $203 and I ignored it for too long. Two months ago it jumped another $25 so I called, threatened to quit, etc and an hour later was down to $175, Received my next bill which was still at $228 and they said the reduced rate would be reflected in the next bill. Next month was $175 as agreed to. Just received next month's bill and it's back to $203. WTF?

Here are two things ive been using:

you have to download a plugin for the US Channels, but this has its own standalone app type feel, not too many clicks and seems to pop up pretty quickly.

pretty basic user interface but no ads have popped up and it was good to watch the hockey games and sports. has the sports schedules on the bottom too.

I used to use it; I had no issues with it. Then YouTube TV expanded its channel lineup, adding some channels I was missing, so I switched.
How's the user interface between the two. We didn't get along with Youtube last time around.

It's been a while, so even if my brain cell could remember,r it might be different by now. I can adapt to anything, so I adjusted. I think the wife preferred the Hulu interface when we switched (she's quieted down about it in the years since, haha).

My wife pretty much gave up watching tv when I tried switching to Youtube. Or, I had to change channels for her.
