Damn good helmet

Was finishing up Allaire on Tuesday at race pace on the white trail. A stick flew into my front wheel and stopped the bike dead. My head hit the ground so fast and hard it was amazing. Was able to ride out. Finally went to ER yesterday and nothing broken. Sprained neck and back. Anyway, just checked my Bell Sweep and it's split down the middle, top to bottom! Holy crap, can't imagine what would have happened without it. Was just sorta scolding a guy a few days before at Allaire for no helmet.
Doing a test run today with my old helmet and hope to make LM on Sunday.

Nice to hear a happy ending especially with all the bad news today. Reminds me that when I was Williams Lake last week a guy was actually preriding the course with no helmet. I guess he thought being cat 1 makes you immune to injury. I said "where's your helmet?" and he ignored me, after all I am just cat 2...

I x-ray people like this all the time in the ER doing clinical.... they're all tough guys till their gettin their domes stitched closed. its kinda like motorcyclists that wear t-shirts, skin vs. pavement guess who wins.:hmmm:
