are you one of the guys that does the hill repeats i've seen there?

so, from what i'm reading you go every tuesday, do you try to set a new PR or are you just trying to get in come calorie burn-age?

garret mtn

2nd time this week at garret mtn. This time just did laps around the place. I was faster in the spring. albeit 3 police were giving out tickets so I didn't go full throttle . Met another roadie up there he didn't mind speeding downhill past cops. I know closter dock rd will get you a ticket on your bike for speeding

Whoa, what?! They will give you a ticket for riding your bike too fast???

Do you have any more detail on this please?

I've seen speeds of 45+ on my road bike but I never thought I could be ticketed...

In alpine they give lots of tickets to cyclists. I didn't see the cop give the ticket. I think my wife heard the story from a co worker. Anyway I got my 8 laps in today at garrett mtn the time was a bit longer but I went out of the normal loop and up to the summit by the antenna.. got to the pool at the end of the day and got in a couple of laps

go run the lenape again in mills and see if you notice anything different
i ran through mills last week on tuesday 8.10.10 and road bike past just this past saturday. i woke at 5 am the past couple of days and was thinking about heading over towards mills. i'm road biking harriman sunday, but i hope to check out the mills soon:popcorn:

Wow, that Fairfax pack is the bomb. I've been look for some time for a small lightweight pack, I think I finally found it. Good that I decided to catch up with MTBNJ.

Sorry to hear you were disappointed with your Franklin Lakes Tri this year and slower than last year. After my visit to Jersey in June and July, I felt slower and bit off as well. I really think it was heat combined with the long stretch of good weather leading to over-training. I rode myself silly and spent my recovery days pedaling with the lady at the shore. The mtb-scene in Jersey was outstanding this year with plenty of dry, fast, fun trails.

Not sure if you've been follow this http://www.northjersey.com/news/ess...08069_Trail_along_tracks_gathering_steam.html
Just imagine biking uninterrupted from Glen Ridge to Hoboken, taking the ferry across the river, heading up the west side, back over the GW, down the Jersey side and taking the rail trail back for a mills-eagle rock loop. One sweet urban adventure!

rainy Day Women No. 12 & 35

Cancelled my ride in harriman but got two hours at 24 fit including some swimming.

I scored the camelbak at road runner sports
