do you stop?

I've got each bike set up with its own bag with a spare tube and/or patches, and a matching quick link or 2. Have a couple multi tools, a co2 inflator, and pump that I trade off from one to the other as needed. Also have an extra set if I am riding with the camelbak. Don't ride without a phone either.

Normally will at least ask. No tire fixes yet, but I've helped patch together a few busted chains and derailers in order to save a few people the hike out of the woods or home.

Few weeks ago, A fellow rider ripped off the rear derailleur at 6 mile. No clue why that happened just BAM and it was a tangled mess. While we were replacing the hanger and getting it back together it was amazing how many riders just pass by and not say a word. The few that did slow and ask "OK??" Kudos to them.... They know!! Our crew always asks. BTDT

I stopped for a rider a few weeks ago. She was walking with a flat tire.... I changed it for her and told her to watch a 'how to' video or ask her LBS if they do clinics on roadside repairs.

Did you use her stuff or your stuff?

I always stop when I'm on the bike or in my car though if I'm in the car and just slow down and roll down my window when traffic allows .

Interesting segue but I was riding down Mountain Ave in Warren last week and I flatted. I blew the stupid o ring out of my co2 head so had to walk down to the circle to a gas station to fill up. While I'm walking I get buzzed by a guy in a dark kit (couldn't make it out). Forget am I ok, dude didn't even slow down or move over. I was more pissed at that clown than having a car buzz me.

If you're reading this, you suck.

could of been @Norm, that's his hood, I don't have a black kit

Are you the one with the fat, white arms or the tan arms making a muscle?

Sounds like bad luck. I have roadies stop or slow and ask if I need help all the time, even if I'm just stopped to take a break or a pic. Maybe I look like a geezer who's about to keel over?? I stopped today for a group of roadies that were standing around a bike and one guy was holding a tube. Sounded like they were french canadians - turns out they were just discussing flats they had the previous day. I offered co2/tools if they needed something.

I'm the pale & not fat guy, the busted hanger guy is skin and bones all 145 pounds of him. He looks pumped like that all the time.

"Geez...! Tough crowd, man....tough crowd!!"

Mid-Atlantic AAA (I think they cover all of NJ, but might not) will pick up your bike on the road if you are a member. You get the same coverage as you get with a car. I think 3 miles of towing is the standard, but up to 100 miles for the Plus members. I have not used this perk, but I see it on the web page and I saw it on Reddit so I know it's true.
