Amusingly, many e-bikes have more range than that (only 40 km).

I joined the club/Darkside...bought a Specialized Turbo Levo Alloy. It is A LOT of fun, makes getting out at lunch a lot easier to rip a quick ride. I am definitely not selling my regular bike though, group rides and all my buddies are non bikers.

I said this about this time last year. More of a back up in case ebike farted. Well looks like my barely ridden nimble 9 will be going up for sale as im about to pull the string on a second ebike 🤪

What reason are you going for a second one; more range, lighter weight or specific geometry and function? The ebike choices are increasing quite a bit.

Have a mid power going for full power enduro.
One to ride with the mix crowd other to shreddy until im broken. Also get more time with my son.

On Wednesday I proved to myself that an E-bike can't compensate for lack of food and H2O (aka, stupidity). I did about 15 miles at Sterling on my first 85 degree ride of the year. Didn't quite eat or drink enough so my body started to shut down with a few miles to go. Bonking on an E-bike is only a little more fun than on a regular bike. You can still make all the climbs, but it still sucks.

BTW, is that place better CW or CCW? I always feel like I'm going the wrong direction the first time I ride someplace new.

I'm a clockwise guy.
I think there is better downhill tech sections clockwise and better downhill flow CC.

My HR still averaged 137. Ride an almost 50lb bike thru rocky, technical trails and try not to get a workout.

Has anyone run into a group of dudes on those Throttle e-basically dirt bikes yet? I almost got taken out by 3 of them at 6-Mile on Saturday. First time seeing them in the woods in real life. Definitely sketchy AF.

seen 1 of them at allaire, full knobby MX tires, fox factory 40 fork and all. looked like a blast but can really be bad news with the power they can produce on tight trails. they also left a lot more evidence and damage to trails than typical pedal ebikes/normal bikes would have.
