Free for those in need: various bikes

JORBA: Morris Trails

I came across a bunch of bikes at my in laws’ place that have been abandoned. There are six plus one tandem. Have reached out to Morris County’s Homeless Solutions since some of their program residents use bikes to get to their jobs. But can any other programs use them to help others in need? @Fire Lord Jim ? I can also reach out to second life bikes.

We work with Ridewise here is Somerset county...they give them away free to those in need after we tune them up for them. If no other takers, you can drop them off here at the shop (in Somerville) and we will get them road ready and have Ridewise hook up the right people with them...

Excellent. Will be in touch. Would Ridewise want the Tandem too?

I would have to check with them on the tandem....have never had one for them before....but the others are just what they are looking for...simple, cheap to repair if needed down the line, simple bikes to allow people to get to/from work, commute, etc.

@cfrone1 sent you a DM. Should be able to get you the bikes next week. Leaving out the tandem as someone has expressed interest in that.
