I have a 4 bike rack and I’ve routinely backed up without issue. Except that one time in CT when I smashed the arm into a barrier.
And I’m with @2Julianas here. Twisting my body in that direction has a non-zero chance of putting me in traction.
So just wing it & hope.

There’s mods for most modern car things. I’ve disabled pretty much all of the annoying ones, especially the 1st gear to 4th skip to conserve fuel and bypassing the module for the dual-mode exhaust.

I used to drive a straight job in the city when I worked for an event company way back in the day. To this day I don't use back up cameras.
Backup camera is now the rearview mirror. Very natural to get close to a dock, or not hitting a pole, without help.
Watching the upper year corners was key!

While returning home from Cathedral Pines last year, a few of the drivers gave me the stink-eye.
I was flowing with traffic, even in the altered state of 6 hours of "racing" and a couple beers.
Made a quick stop for gas, and realized with the fatbike on the rack, my tail lights are obscured.
So i got the idea of adding lights - checked the 1up site, and there it was - the 1up LED light bar for $169 -
running/brake-directional light that fits the flat-4 trailer receptacle.
How easy, how expensive, how ugly! It isn't even what i'm thinking, cause someone...

is it a 5 or 7 pin plug? if yes, as long as you are willing to drill a couple holes in the rack to mount them on itd be very easy
Probably need to add a relay and extra wire...
whats the relay for? if he already has a 5 or 7 pin theres already a reverse power feed thats properly switched and designed for the load, just plug into it and your done. . . .

Wow straight job I haven't heard that term since when I was lucky enough to get to ride with my dad in his trucks on Saturday's back in the early 70's thx for the flood of memories!
