Prepping for next week's 100-year Anniversary 200k. I want to run as close to what was around in 1921, so I set up Rusty Fixed and converted it back to tubes. Cotton Paris-Roubaix tires to also add to the Vibe. The route is a somewhat punchy 7+k of vertical over 200k so I hit the Ridge in every direction to at least warm my legs up to the idea. Couldn't go everywhere because of road damage and storm related stuff but I managed 100k and 4,500 feet, so more climbing per mile than the route, and steeper.
I'm still here to talk about it but, it's definitely gonna be a very difficult day in the saddle for sure.

Running a 42x16, which is what I used earlier this season for the Central Jersey 200k. That was just over 6 hours. Based on my speed today, I reckon next week will be 8+ hours. Biggest issue is the pressure on my wrists slowing the bike down on descents.
