Going Long and Hard.

Oh poop, I took the KOM from me. I'm gonna whine about it to myself and then Flag me 🤣

So if you want to know what kind of asshole I am, I set that KOM in 2017 on my Fat Bike 🤣

I took so many Segments on that bike. So many were Flagged and pulled down. It's why I don't pay for Strava anymore. The free one will show me that I have the KOM, but it won't show on the Leaderboard. So I know who I'm faster than, but they think they're the fastest.

I don’t really pay attention to KOM, I used to be highly competitive but also suck at sports, which is a real bad combination. Thankfully, and unlike many others, I did realize that and switched to ‘I’m in to enjoy it’ mode to prevent having to kill myself due to the continuous disappointment…still burns, but not as bad. People really complain BBC about some other dude getting KOM? WTF!

I have Segments that I use to gauge fitness throughout the year. My Commute is one of them and I'm the only person to ever ride it so it's hidden anyway. Strava unfortunately also rewrites HR and Power Data based on it's own weirdo algorithms so you have to use the a combo of Strava Segment and Garmin Data to know what's going on.

200km...
i uploaded the ride with gps file to Strava which came back 117miles and only 3700ft of climbing. Is this normal as it can’t possibly be 117?

Recovery Day so I set up the Craethux for Saturday. I'm gonna try the Endurance Casing 32c Gravel Kings because I really want to run a better tire than the Roubaixs. In theory these would be the Stampede Pass if they made a Tubeless version...Anywhoo...Super simple setup because I don't really want to bring much. 2x ultralight tubes in the saddle bag and that's it. Control 2 and 4 are at one of my favorite sketchy ass quickie marts in Frenchtown. 3 is at a McDonald's but there's a 7-11 across the street. I may run a 3rd cage to skip it. We'll see.

A patch kit weighs nothing and assuming they’re not latex tubes, is not the worst idea on a ride you give a crap about finishing… no?

*and that bike is sex on a stick BTW.
