hi, I know I must already know a bunch of you guys, frank the welder here. I found that someone had commented on our new bike and I wanted to provide some info. I don't get to Jersey to often but I wanted to thank the forum and mods for their time and effort with this great resource. I used to hang out with a DH crew from Jersey, it's been so long only the first names remain. Mike, Barry and Jill. I am pretty sure I will go to some gravity events out there so say hi. Latah.

welcome to the group, frank. i take it you're a frame builder? what's this new bike you speak of?

Hi Frank, I may have met you at one of the PedroFests? There was a revolving crew that came to be simply known as the Jersey boys. The "simple" part was a large part of the equation, especially when the beer tent was involved. If you are The Frank the Welder, then we are honored to have you join in on the crazy. There has been some talk on the board about taking a trip to the Kingdom trails. Maybe we can share a beer again?

Welcome Frank ! I met you at a Plattekill race weekend in 2002 when we were "pitted" near each other. You showed me how to modify my old Iron Horse to make it more DH worthy by dropping the BB height a little and giving me a degree or 2 slacker head angle. Well I did it and it helped so Thank You for that. Lots of fun loving knuckleheads to chat with here, enjoy!

FTW on mtbnj.com? That is just flat out rad and might go over the younger riders' head why. I remember reading the mtb mags over the many years and seeing and being so impressed by FTW and his work - first w/ Yeti then Spooky and now @ Sinister. Lots and lots of background with the sport and in the Northeast especially.

There is a lot on FTW out there on the web, but for a quick link an interview on Dirt Rag from '97: http://www.dirtragmag.com/print/article.php?ID=354&category=features

Nick - Frank's much more than a frame builder. Artist doesn't completely describe it either. Master starts to. He's talking about the Sinister F-Bomb that's in the DH forum. I'm a picky sumbitch when it comes to frames and I've had 4 Sinisters. And add the fact that they are based right up the road in New England makes it even cooler.

From the stuff I've read on the Sinister board, Frank always has great input to add to many a discussion. Good to see you on mtbnj, Frank, and if you roll thru NJ, throw up a post - we have a lot of worthwhile riding and plenty of folks that'll trail guide you properly
