hell of hunterdon

nah mtn biking is fine in those conditions...

but a road tyre on gravel/dirt like that in a rainy condition, i'll prob sit it out. i have a half marathon the following weekend, no need to get injured from an avoidable fall.

FWIW, the dirt roads are typically better when they are wet or damp, you have more of a chance of falling on wet pavement then you do on wet dirt / gravel.

Should I just run my 23's (Michelin Pro3's), or go buy some 25's? Price is not too much of a concern, I just want something that will do the job w/o killing myself. If 25's, which tires do you recommend?

I think I'm out... flu led to bronchitis... I'm on 1000mg of Biaxin, an albuterol inhaler, promethazyne-codeine cough syrup... if I feel better I'll give it a go but at this point idk...

You can't go wrong with conti 4seasons, a little extra rolling resistance and the trade off is peeve of mind with not getting flats, the cost of entry is high though. Some people like rubino pros, but I got a ton of flats and cuts with those tires, so who knows. The conti gatorskins are good too, I have been using one of the hardshell ones on the cross bike on dirt roads and such all winter

Oh yeah, that is what I ride, I didn't think jhat was running tubeless though.

I tried to set mine up tubeless when I first got them and the front was loosing air overnight... I rode them with tubes for a few rides (I read the tubes will help with the tape being uber tight) then tried again about 2 weeks ago and they are holding just fine 3 rides later... no leaking at all and they've held up even when forced into riding through some less than desirable shoulder areas... highly recommend...
