hello to all on the site, man i have to say this site is a great place very informative and full of great information! My name is mike i have been out of the saddle since 02 but again the bike bug has bitten me looking at a trek fuel ex8 i heard a lot of good things about it well i hope this turns out to be a great riding summer 😀
 
cheers! i just moved to the states and i am also living in this jersey heights/ hoboken area, actually next to lightrail elevator.
having an after work ride on weekdays is more or less impossible here i guess, but what are you planning at the weekend if the weather is nice?
 
not much as of yet, still waiting for the bike to come in, need to get some road miles so i fig do about a 15 mile loop from jc to north bergen and back, so tell me how you like jc so far?
 
it´s nice so far, i´d like to buy a car as soon as possible and therefore the hoboken area is not really suitable.
but last night i recognized that this elevator is not running at night... 😡
it´s nice here but i´m aleady missing the mountains (small ones, but nice for workout on weekdays) in front of my door like i had it in germany.
and i have never been to the backcountry here.
