I am new to the forum but have been mountain biking on and off for the past 17 years. I currently ride a Yeti AS3 & a Fisher Big Sur . I am looking into an inexpensive 29er to see if I like it. Any suggestions ? I ride mainly at Mercer, Clayton and six mile run .

Hi There!

Your best bet for an inexpensive 29er is the Haro Mary. Can't beat it for the price. Halters is doing a sale now, check them out.

You'll like the 29er so much that 1 year from now you'll want to upgrade your bike.😀
Buy an intermediate level bike, even if you dont like 29ing there easier to sell. but you wont want to sell it.
 
Thanks all for the input. Wobbegong I will look at Halters. Walter I ride a 17" frame now but it seems that I may need a 15" with the 29er. A max 30.5" standover height is about as high as I want. I really don't want to spend much more than $1200 at this time.
 
welcome aboard check the bikes for sale section there were a few 9er's there
