Hello from Hunterdon

Hi everyone, I'm a real newbie who is actually scared to death on the trails (well, the 3X I've ever been on one!) but I love it when I go for it. Want to get more technical and faster and ride with other beginners (with of course some patient experts to teach us 😀). I've done two trails at Nockamixon and one at the Nassau Trails. I've just signed up for a meet-up at Lewis Morris Park for monday night. Riding at dusk, probaby not a great idea for a beginner. :hmmm: Looking forward to kicking up the dirt (just not with my face 😱). Deena

Welcome Deena!

Lewis Morris will be a good place to try out with a group...have you tried 6-mile? thanks to the clay/mud, it's very fickle to weather conditions, but once the trails dry out, that is a good place to also try.

I don't live far from you - once CX season is done (early Dec.) I will be able to give you a tour of some of the more beginner-friendly parks.

Thanks

Hi, thanks for the reply! Yay someone close by! I've not tried 6M yet but keep hearing about it, so I will have to get out there. Look forward to hearing from you when you are free. Have a nice weekend. Deena

Welcome aboard,
if you get a bit more south Allaire is pretty beginner friendly plus I know a few people that would give a tour..

Welcome to the site ! Ill be back on my bike in a few weeks , ill have to start all over and get in shape again so i will be riding LewMo if you need a guide or someone to ride with.

thanks for the greetings!

🙂 Thanks for all of the "hello's"! Went to LM this weekend but in my opinion went the WRONG direction..... uphill:cry:! Next time will go the OTHER way! Still enjoyed it, though! Will watch for any rides going on the weekend of 26 and 27.
