Hi!

New to this forum. But not to biking.

I used to do a LOT of biking. Trails, road, downhill at Plattekill. Didnt matter. If I was on my bike, life was good (but downhills made it better). Due to a non bike related accident I was off the bike awhile and never got back on. For almost 10 years! 🙁

I decided I needed to get back on and a few guys at work encouraged and helped me by taking me on a few cool trails. I have been doing 3 or 4 runs a week now and feel fabulous!

Welcome back man and glad you didn't give up !! What trails do you usually hit? I wish I could ride that much , I'm only able to ride 2 times a week if I'm lucky..

Hi, welcome back. Sorta. Did you buy a new bike or just running?

How old is Arwen?

Thanks for the welcomes!

hummmmm.....trails I usually hit, there are a few local trails around my house, I also like manasquan reservoir, LOVE 6 mile, also did Thompson park in Jamesburg, and a few times the canal path.

I just started riding again about a month ago. Its like starting all over again UGH but I am determined to get to the level of fitness and "groove" I was at earlier. Although more important than all that is just having a fun time!

New bike? Nope. Still riding the bike I road all those years ago. Poor thing sitting in the garage all alone and sad, then one day I got on and I swear I heard it say "woohoo!"

Arwen...LOL is shown in my avatar...she is 3 years old. as for me...well...take a few guesses LOL

where will I be in 5 years? winner's podium at Plattekill Mt.

How do I get an invite?

OH MAN! wanna try those trails too! How do I get an invite?
Got technical chops? Splitrock at Waywayanda isn't exactly easy; never felt so beat up going downhill, even with full sus. I would recommend hitting all the easier stuff first, Lewis Morris, Deer Park, Stephens etc. It's sounds like they are kinda far for you.

What kind of bike do you have? Front sus? Rim or disc brakes? Pics? And...25 of course!🙂

Thanks for the tip Andy
Full suspension bike. Rim brakes. I used to race at Plattekill many moons ago. I do like the challenge of technical stuff. For me there is a distinct difference between "able" to ride it and being "afraid" to ride it.

I still will not tell you guys my age...yet wouldnt want you to hold it against me 😉
