So I've been lurking on here for an embarrassingly long time...
Name's Dan. I live in Queens but my parents are in close proximity to Allaire SP, and thus I'm there often. I'm a JORBA member but I've yet to make it to a TM... I'm sorry. If its any consolation I always try to pick up as much trash as I can fit in my bag, every ride. I ride mostly to be in nature and I work in the gardening and agriculture world. I also ride Cunningham Park in Queens and Stillwell Woods on Long Island, as well as Hartshorne and Huber on occasion; I'm ok going uphill, but I'm absolutely terrible going down.
So should you ever see a guy in Allaire on a black Monocog with state of the art rim brakes, please hold your laughter as I fail to clear even marginally tricky downhill sections.
P.S.,
last weekend I ran into an awesome couple on fat bikes at the top of a climb by the river in Allaire. Ed and Pat. I admired your bikes and you dug my single speed and JORBA sticker. If you guys are on here, look forward to seeing you again soon.
