How do I delete a thread once I get an answer?

Is there a way I can delete an older thread I started once I get an answer to my question? I don't want to load up the site with my old threads that aren't being answered any more. I'm new to the site so I can use some help deleting my old stuff. Thanks.

Its easier to start a new post and get updated info than searching through the outdated garbage. Post away.

Not necessarliy, doing a search is a good idea before posting a question.

Very often the same question comes up weekly on MTBNJ. As a result the regulars who are the most knowledgeable ingore the what are the benefits of a 29er question. After awhile the same questions get monotonous and posters will reply with silly answers.

Doing a search does help redundant posting. If you can't find an answer to you're question or you're search comes back with 2yr. old info then you post you're question.

Well then how do you delete a thread about "How do you delete a thread?"?
