How many MTB'ers still ride BMX?

Sometimes I wonder if I should load up the BMX bike on the rack as well when I head out for a MTB ride...

Don't be alarmed if you see an a middle aged man flying through Six mile with a mid school BMX bike. Just Say'n!

I don't BMX per Se... but my MTB's have little wheels 😀

I did start digging a tiny pump track in my back yard last year. the plan was to ride it a lot this winter when the ground was frozen solid. did not count on it being covered by snow all winter. lol

Bring it to the pump track!
I have a street/trials bike I dork around with.

^^^ What he said.. I am actually thinking about getting a DJ Bike just for that purpose, bringing it to the Philly pump track when it’s completed and possibly some skate parks to build some balance and bike handling skills.

Old and crusty here! Cruiser for the Pumptracks.

Of course only shot I have was after placing brake lever 2" into my thigh 😀

I hope to hit the NJ pump tracks this year.. I will dust off the old 90's bike along with a few other toys... Anyone ever attempt taking a BMX bike to Mountain Creek's downhill sections?

I got back into Bmx a few years ago and still take my son to the local trails to ride the rollers. I ride an EWR, so not a bmx

Cool moment last year when my 8 year old climbed aboard by old BMX bike... That week, we took a ride to Howell BMX track to watch the Wednesday night races.

Don't ride a BMX bike per se but ride with BMXers mostly these days. Almost all DJ trails. For me that is where it is at and the best combo of fun and skill.

What mid-school BMX bike are you riding?

I still ride. Usually hit pump track up and skateparks up on my 20" Haro. Half pipe was my thing back in the day.

I have a 26" mtb dirt jumper that I still ride like a bmx. I ride dirt jumps, pump tracks, and skateparks, race DS occasionally and even take it to 6MR sometimes.

Still ride bmx.ROde bmx all my life and just started mtbing 2 years ago.Mostly ride street and park but love to dirt jump.I have a new school bmx bike fly tierra brakeless. At 29 the crashes get harder to walk away from and are less forgiving but i always plan on riding a 20".

I raced BMX in the '70s and all through the '80s. That was when you didn't have a race bike and a freestyle bike, and a trail bike, you just had a bike.

Got out of it in the late 80s, and when I decided to take up riding again, I actually bought a 24" BMX bike before buying a MTB, and jumped right back into racing. Little did I know at the time, but the 40-44 cruiser class is one of the most competitive out there, with all the top guys from BITD. I got my ass handed to me.

Stuck it out for a few years, and got better, but I have more fun riding the MTB. Do it when I want, and with as much as I was hitting the track, the MTB is a lot cheaper.

Just sold the BMX bike a few weeks ago, so my dream of being NAG1 is over.

I still do! I have an Intense Podium cruiser (24") and a Supercross Shine (4x) that I use often at my local pumptrack. The lessons learned there really make for excellent bike handling skills. Also the realization that your 3 hour xc rides helps zero for stamina at the pumptrack really alerts you the benefits of riding places like that.
