Irene. Worst ever?

I'm going to go home and smash all my eggs, throw out all my bread, and pour out all my milk. I'm not sure how I'll survive those 16 hours inside without that.

All jokes aside for one moment.... this just got serious.... As of 8pm tonight the Garden State Parkway will be closed starting at exit 98 to southbound traffic. 😡

I have plans to put my bike in the bathroom, since it has no outside windows, need to take care of the important stuff.

At one point they said the storm surge could be worse than the 92 nor'easter, but it seems like they scaled it back some. It will be interesting, the ocean was calmer today than yesterday too.

My company has us bagging all computers and other electronics in heavy duty trash bags

That actually is a great idea as it will make the clean up so much faster to just be able to throw everything away after.

Probably to keep the roads clear for Emergency Equipment....I guess the blizzard taught them a lesson.

I also saw a bunch of heavy equipment moving westbound on Rte 36 today. :hmmm:

I think a few similar jokes were making the rounds. Most of the computers here can barely run word.

I work Saturdays in the City and my company has volunteered me to cover the entire weekend through Monday morning on site. Got to love investment bankers 😡

Time to take out the trash

they (the weather forums) are looking at the current images and seeing the storm picking up strength over the gulf stream. could get messy(er).

Well, Floyd brought 15 inches of rain to Ringwood, 100+ blow downed trees on the racecourse, washed out fire roads, race canceled the next week with no internet for over a week. People actually showed up at the race pissed. Once they attempted to ride in the woods, they eased up a bit. RVCC was working for years to clean up. I hope it's not that bad this time.
