Johnny Utahs Bike Change Operation

Why so quiet here? Too warm to fat bike?

Alright, a lot going on here.

1. I took a new job at work, so I am on the road a lot.

2. After purchasing my nomad and riding it for awhile, then getting smoked by @Mitch up the IMBA climb at Allaire while on it, I got disgusted and sold it for a $500 profit, as @jimvreeland would say - SICK!

3. The guy I sold my Cove Shocker to (DH Bike) a year back called me up and asked if I wanted to buy it back for a song and dance, which I did - Score!

4. Enduro has left my blood, if I am going up north to ride gravity I want to be on a full DH sled.

5. I have maintained a weight below 190lbs for two months, because of this and my base miles, I have been dropping serious times at the local trails with allow wheels. So far I am down about 15lbs at 187.

6. Alloy wheels - After sending my HED wheels back for warranty work twice I bought a stock set of Surly wheels. The silence is surreal as is my willingness to bash the fawk out of them.

7. Finishing up several home projects to keep the wife happy.

I will post up some serious thoughts and progress, just needed to time to step back and figure out what this summer will bring.

Shocker should be on its way, and I have been living off the Baja bowl from surf taco when on the road, no cheese of course.

Oh, And I can't believe the last picture was a week ago.

Wait, you weren't joking about selling the Nomad!!!!!!!!!

It was sooooooooo pretty..... I think I just threw-up a little .

I mean shit! No one buys a Nomad to go UPHILL!

Did you at least ride it anywhere north of Rt 78 first, cuz I don't remember seeing any rides like that.....

Well, at least you made a profit.......

And buying back the DH bike... At least THAT's something I understand. @mattybfat's bound to be happy. 🙂

For what the nomad is, I would rather have a dedicated DH rig and use my fatty for trails up north.

My strengths are in descending so I would rather have the hard tail to make up for my climbing skills.

5010 or tall boy lt would be much better for trail riding.

I just couldn't give up riding at a faster pace on the trails to ride the nomad.

The nomad is freaking gorgeous though.

im gonna need to subscribe to your DH tutelage one of these days. apparently my group decided that im "the downhill guy" so you should learn me some skillz
