Not to pour gas on the fire, but deciding to sell the nomad after riding it at allaire and having Mitch take u out on a climb....?
That bike should have been ridden thoroughly at jungle, mooch, and ringwood. If u don't ride those places enough, than it makes sense to sell. Not taking a hit on the sell makes it easier.
Don't take things so literally. It did make we want a faster trail bike though.
More focus on I would rather have a full blown DH rig and a bike that rides trail better rather than the nomad which rides DH pretty well and trail pretty slow.
I would also say the nomad is a bit much for serious enduro racing, a 5 or 6" bike may be more well rounded. In reality the nomad was like sitting on my v10.
In addition, I wanted something I could beat the snot out of in the rocks not care. My Cove Shocker is perfect for that. Let's see if I buy another non fat trailish bike, which is on the list if I do bearscat and/or w101.
As for the Allaire comments, come on out sometime guys, I will show you things away from hospital road that may change your mind, especially in a muddy winter.
@jShort just caught the tail end of your comment, you hit the nail on the head, I can make those places five times a year with my riding schedule, so a toned down trail bike makes sense for me. As for DH, I had somewhere between 15-20 days last year, so a dedicated bike makes some sense.
