Leadville

One of my co-workers, a 55 year old woman who is neither a cancer survivor or a cyclist, is a big Lance fan and watches the tour religiously. She's purchasing the live feed of Leadville tomorrow to watch Lance race live. This will be the first mountain bike race she's ever seen.

If you think that is in any way bad for the sport, then you are crazy.

The fast NUE guys are incredible riders, but it's probably better for their careers if they *didn't* show up to race against Lance and get beaten handily. They're not as strong as our country's top XC racers (Craig, JHK, Wells, etc), much less as strong as Lance.

Race officials are saying a 6:10 finish for Lance is the projection which puts him about 20 minutes away. He is up big on Wiens who will break last years time by 15 minutes or so himself.
Tinker broke a seatpost clamp and is out.

Lance is riding his flat into the finish. Still a few miles out and Dave is gaining time but it's probably too much time to make up.

Lance wins with time of 6:28 -- 17 min faster than course record -- the last 5 miles on a flat tire. I'm no fanboy but that's something else.

bumbed that Tinker mechanicaled... Good job to Lance, amazing performance! And I thought Weins interview at the end was phenomenal.

16 year old thread… let’s go

Will Kate Courtney flex and take the W at Leadville?

Will drop bars or flat bars win the men’s race?

Will there be a new course record?
