v happy with my lauf, when i was looking around it was hard to find all the things i wanted in a new bike at that price point.
i'm pretty much sold on the big tires gravel bike racing, being able to sit in a group of people and not be paranoid of smashing into a rock and dying with MTB tires is a great feeling. still very course depend tho

At that point it's a Diverge but they suck for road riding. You need 3 bikes.

Did you have a tough time deciding which fork to go with? I feel like the rigid would probably make more sense for most of my riding but can't help but be curious about their leaf sprung fork.

I had the original Lauf gravel bike and that fork is pretty sick. My co-worker has a Lauf on his Crux. Once you go suspension it's hard to ride anything else.

no, granted i think it falls under the "you don't know what you're missing" ordeal, but a MTB tire at 20psi seems to be enough cushion for me. id love to try it but it seems like such a specific piece of equipment. you really need to be hitting some really gnarly shit for it, IMOHOMO.
I want to mullet my Solo but really don't feel like buying transmission in a few months and having an extra GX AXS derailluer laying around.
Guess I could just keep the Solo as a commuter/bikepacking bike. N+1 and all that.

Im the odd man out in the fact that I ride suspension and a lefty at that on my gravel bike. I love the ride and I miss it whenever I ride other stuff.

By regular stuff, do you still mean axs? I was looking into mulleting mine also. What don't you like about the transmission, how does it compare to the Rival axs stuff?

It shifts slower. The whole “shift under load” thing isn’t a selling point on gravel as it is on the mtb.
If I could put the transmission on my mtb I’d swap my setups but it’s “too old”

There are lots of great bikes out there these days, but I am going to give a shout out to 2 unheralded bikes that would well be worth having a look at.
I personally ride a Fuji Jari, I have had it for a few years and I think it rides exceptionally well, I would not hesitate to buy another one or recommend one.

And.. last week I was in a bike shop in PA and they have a Jamis Renegade on the floor, it looked really sharp in person (way better then the photos) and was speced really nice, for the price it seemed like a great bike (and they are based in NJ), I would definitely have a good look at those.
The GRX one for just over $3k looks amazing.
