Today's TM was kinda fouled up because the park had an athletic event that closed some roads surrounding the park. Despite the road blocks Mick, Rudy and I managed to meet at the east Picnic area!
Chad was not so fortunate...Thats OK there is always another TM.

Access to Conover road was restricted and traffic was backed up on Edinburg Rd (Rt 526).

So a change of plan was in order.

Brush hog from east picnic on blue trail and over to son of blue. Then blue trail off South post road up to Conover road. All trails were double side cut.
While at Conover road, we repaired the off camber angle of the bridge by removing a log that had jammed under it the during a flood. The bridge is now once again nice and level.

The Blue trail entrance under the power lines will be cleared on Sunday.

UPDATE! TM 10/19 Cancelled

Mick & I decided that we will cancel this Sat TM. Not enough bodies and he has contractors coming to work on his bathroom all day.

So let's regroup and plan for next Saturday 10/26, same meetup spot.
I'll repost

TM was a success. What a beautiful day! Mick & I were the crew. We had some trouble with the brush hog running properly. I drained the fuel bowl and then shut off the fuel, let the engine run until it stalled then opened the fuel valve. Restarted and all was well - Water in the carb bowl!

Red Trail was double side cleared from the tennis center to the exit onto the paved path west of the bridge. We spent extra time plunge cutting to push the margins back and open lines of sight.

November TM for this weekend 11/16 is cancelled.
We have a few small tasks in mind that can be done during the week.
There may be trees down after the wind event but no reports so far.
We can address those if any, as reports come in.

TAS

April TM on Saturday 4/19 is cancelled due to an insurance issue. We anticipate this to be resolved shortly.
We may schedule a TM later this month or early May.

If you know of any trail issues that need to be addressed, please post them here with a description and location.

TAS

Waiting to hear from Al. I hope that he will send out a notice soon.
There was some discussion a while back that orange and yellow trails in Van Nest needed a trim.
Weather forecast for Saturday is not looking very good at the moment..
TAS

TM this Saturday at 9:00 am at the marina. We will be doing some trimming near the Van Nest section of the park.
