Most overhyped bike trend?

Dropper I have as well. Good luck getting the actuator back and working well on if its a non-end cable actuator on the trail though. That's a PITA in a shop.

Shifter I find far more common in Shimano brifters with internal cable routing. I've never seen it in MTB but you seem to stress test your parts more than most.

yea my dropper is a fixed end on the dropper, so easy enough to change as long as i can fish the housing out with the post, worst part will be riding with the loop of extra cable handing off the bars.

Gravel bikes are definitely hyped, perhaps a bit too much. But I've really enjoyed mine over the past year. It's good enough on road and gravel to perform double duty, and spices up some more tame singletrack near me (Black Run is a perfect example).

One piece cable housings. I know it’s easier for modern FS bikes with internal routing but it’s a PITA from a maintenance standpoint.
Internal routing can SAD IMO as well.

whats wrong with one piece housings? they make cable changes SOOOOO much easier. and replacing them (even with internal routing) is pretty damn easy, the split housing on my road bike were a bitch however.
