Great pictures as always! For those i9ntersted in visiting Tucson, do you have any suggestions of local pet friendly hotel or B&B ?More pics from the last 2 days. Yesterday we did an 18 mile loop at Starr trails in TMP. We rode most my favorite trails. I am now at riding 10 of 12 days. Even though my legs are not feeling terrible, I decided to take today off the bike to rest. I should have been more tired yesterday, but the rocks kept me focussed and energized. It is so nice to ride with friends that like riding rocks. The last few days have been so much fun! The girls are currently out riding Honeybee with Art.
There are a bunch of flowers starting to bloom and with more rain last night, it is only going to get better over the next few weeks. If you were thinking of coming to Tucson, the next month is prime time. I will try to get more pictures soon.

This is a FANTASTIC photo
The fruit comes in fall. I have not had any as just fruit. I have had the juice and I love the color!Have you had a chance to eat any of those prickly pears? I can see the plant but not any of the fruits...
Not sure if the ones in AZ work the same as the Italian ones, but I remember that the first round of fruits popped out on June and had to be discarded in order to promote a better harvest later during the year, definitely earlier than the fall as I remember eating them freshly picked in August. The fruit comes in fall. I have not had any as just fruit. I have had the juice and I love the color!
I think all that riding finally caught up with me as my legs have been flat all week. My Exie is in for suspension service so I have been riding my Pivot 429 this week. While the differences in the two bikes are subtle, I am reminded of how much I like the Exie. I have my eyes on the new Ripley SL that is coming out in May. If I have the funds, I may purchase one to replace the Pivot. It would be nice to ride one bike with slightly more travel. ..... Got my N+1 juices flowing anyway.
With an excess of lemons, I preserved some lemons in salt. My friend Reva gave me the recipe. They need to preserve for 4 weeks, and can be chopped and eaten mostly as the rinds. I have not eaten them before, but they sound interesting. I'll let you know if they are any good.
Rain predicted for tomorrow !! woohoo! We could use some more as the flowers and grasses
