I felt so bad to see her eat that tree on the bike I talked her into riding...
But she kept smiling!
Congrats Kristine!

I had fun chasing Jim today. The first two times I caught up with him, pretty much on the same spot and on consecutive laps, I fell before I could try to pass him. On the third consecutive lap I caught up with him on the same spot and focus on not going down. This time he went down so finally pass him but that didn't last long 🙂
Looking forward to round 2 :getsome:
I liked the hole that Jake dug out in the back, I'd turn that into a whoop section 😀
He looked like a little kid playing in a sand box
Dude racked his "package" on the last gully section. As he rode by we asked if he was ok. He replied in a high falsetto "good!"
Right after him one of the ladies fought her way onto the road and spat out an angry "BITCH!"
Sport class: one guy was just ahead of the winner as they neared the line. The gallery shouted "let him pass you and it'll be finished!!" I think he did stop.😀
Oh no he did not! He said, "Nope, I'm going!" And go he did!
I learned a new phrase on Sunday: type 2 fun. The kind of fun you only think was fun after the fact. This day was 100% pure type 2 fun. I spent a lot of time wondering why I had brought my bike to a running race, but I was really freakin' happy to get out. Was great to see everyone. Thank you SO much to everyone who put in all the hours and labor before and during the race! And thanks even more for scraping it down to frozen, hardpacked dirt for next week. 'Preciate it! 😉
Confirmed! He (you?) did keep going!
We'll be out tomorrow grooming. The course next week will* be better than last week.
*will means "may"
Just as a point of order, he was very proud of riding past me up that little incline before he, um, dismounted quickly. I really tried hard not to laugh. He seemed to be in a bit of discomfort.
And the entire phrase was, "Well, THAT was a bitch." As my front wheel stopped dead. For the fifty-eighth time. That lap. 😉
