Nassau Trail conditions

Back on May 10, 2023, the mayor of High Bridge Borough posted info on Facebook "To provide clarity on the closure of a portion of Nassau trails":

Scrolling down, a question was asked "Is there a map of what's included in the restrictions?" In response, the mayor posted the map below that looks like it outlines in red the land (Block 40, Lot 2) that is restricted and does not include Brogan's Run.

Below that, the mayor also posted an edited photo that does include Brogan's Run in the Hiking Only group, so maybe. the status of that trail needs to be clarified.

I haven’t been there since the closures. Is there a sign at the entrance to brogan’s run saying no bikes? It would be great if we could refer to the HB map instead as the official record.

Does anyone actually hike these trails, when I was there 2 weeks ago (first time since the closure) I didnt see a single person walking.

Hiking only is not maintained, unless @jshort has made a pass.
I've caught dog walkers in there - no hikers tho - do hikers like loop trails?

Does anyone have the key to the field gate leading up to Springside trails? Would certainly make it easier to maintain that side of the park.

i actually did see a group of 3 hikers the last time i rode there - on Nassau side.

We got dumped on for about an hour. That being said, I think afternoon will be fine. It's getting pretty overgrown though. I was out this morning in the soup before the rain.

thinking of riding here tomorrow afternoon - bad idea with today's rain?
I live in Town, and we didn't get much here. I took note of the level of my pool because it's low and I was expecting the rain to help it out, but it hardly looks like it changed. Unless we get more rain tonight,
you should be fine tomorrow.

Live blog: just finished everything (legal) on Foran Fields side. Brogans definitely seems legal based on signage and burn in. No mud, just slick roots and wet grass in the field. Sidewinder needs a haircut and has this 1 big tree down.

Nassau side: same conditions. Flatlands and Chips have really overgrown sections. Also there's this smaller tree wrapped with vines right at the tractor wheel. That trail is overgrown too.

Dry and dusty/slippy today. The tree by the tractor tire is gone. The trimming on Flatlands was noticed and appreciated. I also cut out the small log on the Springside Loop on the hairpin turn with the top white arrow pointing to it. It was rideable but in a bad spot and didn't align with the difficulty of the rest of the trail.

Thanks. I’ll get chips and clean up the rest on Nassau side next week. How was the springside area? Anything crazy overgrown?

Couple of observations today
1) tree on sidewinder still there.
2) chips is still very overgrown (red circle)
3) tree across Rocky trail (thin circle + pic)
4) tree down on Ridgeline (red circle, no pic) Ride-around forming.
