new lights

I have had my MagicShine for months now with no problem. i charge it after every 2 rides till the base charger light goes green. No problems with the light fading or battery dying or anything, but again, its only been few hours of use/abuse compared to many night-riders.

If the Underwriters Laboratories (UL) is fake, then I guess we got a problem. Despite the subjective quality of build, its still unlawful to put such a safety certificate sticker on a product never tested by the UL.

Bottom line, Magicshine is all I could afford for a bright enough LED. Options are to either make yourself one (probably be either more expensive or similar quality of MJS) or buy a reputable one that costs upwards of $300. Ill take my chances with Magic Shine.

lol i learn things the hard way too often too 🙂 so far i havnt been caught in the dark

I was already thinking this before I read it. As he described the questionable electronics, I couldn't help thinking about the risk of fire. Please charge these lights with care. 😱
