"No Drops" - what does this mean

Hi,

Simple question: I often see folks write something like "beginner friendly pace with no drops". What does that mean "no drops"?

Do intermediate+ MTBers really drop off cliffs, is this what it means? Or is it some reference to severe altitude changes? Or allowing people to drop out of rides?

Thanks for clearing this up!

It means nobody will be dropping acid, nor will any raindrops fall on your head.

Or Pearl has it right. He would know 🙂

Used in a sentence -

Hey Norm is this Death March ride a 'no-drop' ride?

Why yes, kush, we would never drop you and leave for dead to be eaten by the Six Mile bear.
