Anyone else doing Williams Lake on Sunday? If yes, anyone pre-riding? If yes to THAT, anyone interested in giving me a ride to pre-ride? I promise not to beat you in the race if you do... 😉

I always hear great things about this race, but I can never seem to make it there.

It might be in the 80's but when you hit the caves it's back in the 60's. Great course, great people, I'll be there again.

Such a fun place to ride, and a great course. The microclimates with the caves is so refreshing. Sorry to miss it this year, flying out for business sunday afternoon. Enjoy all who head up, you won't be disappointed with the riding.

I'm doing this race. Really fun course! Prob won't pre-ride though. Bit of a drive for 2 trips in one week. Oh and it's private land, in the past pre riding has be limited to certain days... At least I think it is...

Yeah, it's limited to this Saturday. Not sure if it is limited to certain hours or open all day.

Still hoping to catch a ride...

This is always an awesome course. Unfortunately, I am out this year 🙁. Please scream in the cave for Me :scared: .

The course is open to pre ride from 9 am all day this Saturday. The course is about 4.5 miles per lap. The first part of the course might be different than previous years since they finally opened the trestle bridge over the Rondout river that connects the rail trail system from Gardner to Kingston. Bikes are not allowed on the rail trail during the race :hmmm: With little rain the last few days and warm temps a lot of the single track will still be greasy. Pro rider Christian Favata puts long hours into his course and always has some things up his sleeve. The Williams Lake Classic will have chip scoring again this year so no need to worry about the scoring issues of years past. Come out, race and jump in the lake!
Christy 🙂

That was a pretty incredible course. After lap one of the pre-ride I was scared of the course. After lap two, I was scared of the course AND the distance! Had a great time and pleased with how I did. Wish this was open all the time - there was a lot of it that I'd love to session until I learn it!

Thanks mitch, been meaning to recap my race, but I have been swamped at work this week.

In short....Course was really fun and reminded me alot of KVSP. Mostly all ST, rocky, by not too technical, lot of short steep uphills/downhills. My race went pretty well. Got a decent start and after near the end of lap 1 I passed for the lead. I lead until the middle of lap 3 when the heat started to really bother me and nate caught back up. Sadly for him, he flatted soon after and I was able to take the win. Fun times. The cave was awesome as was the post race jump in the lake.

I have been looking for pictures, havent found too many yet though

found these
