If I had the funds, heck, I would just go grab a Chameleon. But sadly.... just not the case.@Paul H if your looking into an HT check out this month Mountain Bike Action mag they test two sweet HT's the Rocky Mountain Vertex and the RSD Middlechild. Some other goodies in the mag also may be worth a perusal.

HT, DH and then fat lol@Paul H, I was thinking just the frames, but use the test to get a perspective on how the frame acts when ridden. The Chameleon frame is a good start at about $750. I don't wanna sound like a homie but the Ritchey is a very light, good handling, and excellent climber you gotta try mine. The frame I believe was $650. Are you going fat tire?
