OOS MOGA

I was once told by a @wise sage that if your legs are tired, drop a gear. If your lungs are tired, go up gear.

It's actually opposite.

Use a hard gear and spin slow w/ as little pressure as possible. It's counter-intuitive. Also if your legs are tired, it helps to stand up and mash down slowly and methodically. Use gravity to help you. It will make you breath harder but use less leg muscle, imo.

If your lung is tired, get in an "easier" gear and spin slow.

I usually have problem with my legs and I noticed if I sit on someone's wheel in a big gear and give 1-2 pedal strokes on and off. It really helps recover my legs.

Also stuff like this is more noticeable once you have a certain level of fitness. If you are really out of shape, it's hopeless so get in better shape!

It may also not matter if you are in really great shape.

Really? It's been working other way around for me. Maybe that why I cramp? Lol

Walter, this challenge sucks.

I used that technique on a road bike (actually on my MTB used as a road bike), and it did work, at least at higher speed. I tried it on the trail, not so much. Again, I believe because of the lack of speed.

Is that because of the knobs scraping your balls make you forget the pain in your legs? (soo sorry, I couldn't help it)

This!

@rayder @mtbiker87 @ridgehog

I’m still planning to be there at 8:00 Sunday

Ferber circle up the dirt road on east end of Cherry Ridge rd. Let me know if you will be there. Supposed to be 40 degrees - brrrr

@ReggieHammond

Sorry; was off line for the weekend. Old guy buys a new phone and can't figure it out. I ended up riding at Ringwood and had a blast. Definitely want to ride WayWay and soon!! Thank you for the olive branch. Next time I'll be sure to respond quicker.

Anybody want to ride high mountain around 3ish tom or any other park, ringwood 3:15ish, jungle 3:30ish? Mooch 3:20ish?

Got it, I'm looking to get going right after work, I guess I'm going solo to Lewis morris at 3:15. I don't like to ride those other places by myself.

I'm gonna do OT unless someone else wants to ride I think I can get to wild cat by 5 but I'd hate to be out there in the dark
