@ridgehog I am out for Wednesday morning I would have to be back by 830 because the wife is working so that would be way too early of a start time but we will do another ride up there soon.

You really want to go into diet, you will loose that on real world observation. The US has been pushing low fat, high carb diets since the late 60’s. In that time people have done nothing but getting fatter and having more hart attacks....high carb cause insulin spikes and these are really bad for you if you are insulin resistant.....how do you know you are insulin resistant? You eating a low fat ,high card diet and you are fat? You are insulin resistant..... go to a high fat , low card diet and you will drop weight..... lost 22 lbs in 2 months.... not so quacky imo

Was a good group. Nice to see everyone as well as ride a new part of the mountain. Starting to think you should call this link mortal group rides as no one is out of shape 🙂

Nassau and CR are fun places to ride.
I think @Kangdoy rode CR today. Perhaps he can chime in on conditions
Yeah i’ve done Nassau a couple of times (and still find a way to get lost in there) but read earlier that CR west side is good today.......as is Nassau. Hit LewMo on Monday and 6MR Tuesday so don’t want to head back there just yet

Sounds like you need to ride some rocks at CR to mix things up.

If it’s tons of rocks then I likely won’t enjoy it but I’ll try it. I ride to have fun and overly rocky rides are not fun IMO. Hartshorne is my fav but i’m staying away from shore traffic this weekend. Gotta hit that early morning in the summer.

@johnnyrides @C8N Yup, I rode CR today and so did @qclabrat. Conditions are good overall. Very few soft spots and one puddle on upper blue. Probably a little better now since it's hotter out. CR has rocks and roots, but not boulder size like at Jungle or Sourlands. Be ready to do some climbing though on blue and red. CR is a great place to dip your toes in for some rock riding and to get your ass kicked at the same time. Newman's lot is a good place to start. You can go on white as a warm up as it's not so rocky, just some roots. Then maybe hit red and then blue. Go for it!

How about keeping your quack claptrap out of these guy's out-of-shape ride thread and posting it in your own blog or in the nutrition section?

Try that diet for 2 years and tell us how you feel. I don't prescribe to either diet, I'm now just trying not to over eat, cut down in alcohol consumption and simplify shit around the house. I'm not big on telling people how the eat or live, so that's all I got.

I really dig Nassau lots, I plan to go on some random Friday or Saturday. Will ping you next time I go. Also grew up in Fanwood and after getting hitched moved to North Edison right by the Plainfield CC. So we're practically 8th cousins removed....

Haha, it's called Chimney Rock for a reason. I tell people it beats me good most days I go. Give white and red a try first then venture across the street to blue. If you nee more challenge orange and yellow on the east side

Edit: @Kangdoy beat me to it and also more eloquent in his response
