Post a picture of your next bike part or mtb gear on order!

New parts on the gravel bike 45 mm tires and orange valve stems. Going to add other orange accents when fully built. Took Mtb parts for a flat bar build. It’s going to be a slow process.

Bought a new Wahoo roam 2.
Kingdom trip I got caught out in the rain along with a bunch of the team.
My roam 1 lost some pixles but was still working.
Wahoo offered 40% off crash replacement. Was hoping to wait untill end of summer.
BUT .. ....

This past Monday. I drove off to work with my gravel bike top tube bag on my bike rack.
Lost my Roam
Lost my Garmin varia
Lost my blinky front light.

IM STILL SEARCHING FOR IT!
Papen Rd Brown Rd 202/206 towards my Dealership.

Question for those with a 1up rack - has anyone have or has looked at the LED light option?

I'm looking to hang this off the back of my 2006 MINI, which is already questionable when it comes to taillight visibility and adding a bike that covers the lights won't help it any, so I plan to add some type of supplemental lighting to the rack for running, signal and brake lights, connected using a 4-way trailer light connector.

My main question is the 1up rear light worth the expense (over $200) vs. a more DIY approach?

Not worth it - if you have a flat 4, just add a couple of motorcycle lights stuck to the back.

Quick look on Amazon at LED trailer light options, I'd definitely go DIY.

Something like these lights for under $20 that have brake/turn/backup all in one. https://www.amazon.com/MICTUNING-Trailer-Bar-Waterproof-Parking-Red-Amber-White/dp/B071FL7VRM

A wiring harness is $10

Misc 90 degree aluminum brackets screwed into tapped holes, some screws etc and should be good to go.

Hmm... That picture above does show one advantage of the 1up LED light/bracket - easily rotated so the light still works with the rack folded up. But does give me some mounting ideas for DIY options vs. what I was previously thinking.

I think the rider that was looking for info has a Cooper?
The combo back-up, turn, brake would require a custom harness - as i'm going to guess a 7 pin is not a thing there, and even then,
the turn isn't broken out.

I'd go simple with the flat 4, and std, stick on brake lights
If ya don't mind external wiring, this makes it really easy.

Yes. A simple 4-way is what I have on order. Fortunately, since I have an S model, the battery is in the back so the wiring will be pretty easy. Fused connector on the batter and then some taps one of the tail light harnesses. I'll probably skip any reverse lights as it would make the wiring a little too kludged for my liking.

As mentioned, I don't drive the car (or any of my fleet of cars) often enough, so when I had a wedding to go to in NoVA yesterday, I decided to drive the MINI. Fortunately, it does seem like the A/C recharge is holding. However, 200TW autocross tires with 13K of miles on them (with a couple of AX events and a lot of aggressive backroads driving) are sketchy AF in downpours on the hwy... 😳

@jdog - put me down for a pair of these in 29x2.5 Gravity Soft when they become available. 😎

While I did not have good luck with the longevity of the Super Gravity Magic Mary for DH/park use compared to DH casing Maxxis, these look interesting.
They do look and sound interesting.

I watched the Schwalbe radial tire video. I’ve got reservations. When they showed the illustration of the deflection pattern when going over a rock (shown from the inside); I envisioned, when hitting a rock at speed, the rock penetrating thru to the rim channel and cracking it. I’m probably waaaay off the mark, but… Time will tell.

90% chance it's like every other bike marketing gimmick. It's the best thing ever, until the next best thing. I'm not being the guinea pig, I want feedback from people before I jump in.

It seems currently only Continental/Specialized have really been able to compete with Maxxis. Tires are expensive but it's worth spending the money on tires that work.

The hard part for me is shops never seem to have the tires I want in stock. At least for the enduro and now e-bike. Mainly in the DH casings. On the Megatower, the lightest casing I'll run is the Double Down and even those are sporadic when it comes to store stock.

Because of that, I prefer to have spare tires in my stock of parts.
