Post Your Doggo [woof]

Why is the butt always so itchy 🐶

She will stand there and lean on you all day until you scratch the hind quarters.
In my house if your dumb enough to leave the door cracked in the bathroom while you are in there our chocolate lab will bust it open and wedge herself between the pot and the wall while you sit there and wont leave until you scratch her hind quarters. leaves then comes back for one more....then will exit. Although that might have something to do with the yelling at that point lol.

Shelby loves to go out on the deck outside the kitchen and sun herself or even after the sun goes down she just lounges out there I guess since the deck is still warm.

Sent her out ahead of me to get the grill warmed up for dinner and I guess the gate down to the yard didn’t latch when I came up last time. She’s trained not to pass thru any doorways or the gate without permission.

Just a cool moment where all the training pays off.

Or she’s like hey ahole you left the gate open. 🤪🐶

So we are fortunate to have the best neighbors ever.
@NeighborDan has a dog grooming/hotel business (took care of Bailey L not too long ago), and he’s happy to take the Wonderpup once a week so he can get his socialization on.

He came back from day camp today rocking a new hoodie. Adidog. Lol.

you need to send me the deets on his business - might need something like this more personalized service for Shelby down the road since the traditional kennel traumatized her for 3 weeks.

Well the concierge service is probably limited to neighbors, but I would definitely recommend the operation and can connect you if you need a hotel.
@serviceguy can share his experience, but I heard good reviews all the way around.

We did like the place and I think they're doing a good job so my review of the place is definitely positive.

They have an individual camera pointed at each bed, as the anxious parents that we are though, the minute we left Bailey at the door we started going nuts...we then started texting them when we saw she did not have her rag and toys with her (I think there was a little bit of a misunderstanding with her things we brought over) and they promptly fixed the situation. Yes, we're that type of parents!

They offered to facetime but she doesn't really recognize me or my wife over the laptop screen on Skype, let alone the phone screen so we declined. We did ask them to send us pictures occasionally and they seemed happy to oblige, which was nice.

We were hoping she would socialize with other dogs while there but she seemed to be keeping mostly to herself. Sure enough she seemed more subdued right after we took her back, she's now back being her usual rascal...

Quick question on Lyme disease and dogs. Do you have to always treat Lyme? I've read conflicting info that if asymptomatic may not be needed. My dog has been infected now a second time some time since her last annual and her recent visit.
