So I had sold this Bar to Norm over a year ago and he brought it back after determining that it was too much sweep for him.

I had been starring at this bar in the shop for what seemed like forever so I figured I would give it a shot.

I threw it on my SS for the hell of it and for some more variety I tried the Lizard Skin Bubba harris BMX grips in the neon green.

Previously the bike had a 9 degree Seven Cycles Ti bar.

The change was awesome. I started jumping every bump in the trail. For some reason I felt like I was on a dirt jumper. I can't say enough about how much this setup changed the ride. I had so much fun. I have never jumped my 29er this many times in one ride.

These bars dampen better than the Ti bars and they are lighter.

I give the 17 degree sweep an A+. They look dumb as hell and I would never of tried them if I had not had them lying around.

These are staying on the bike for sure.

Thanks Norm!

I need to try them with the Ergons as my hands were killing me.

Did I mention that I won this exact same bar at the SSaP race last year, and they're sitting on my bench in the basement just looking at me?

I do have plans to put this steel Niner back together as a full-rigid SS for the cold cold winter. Too bad carbon breaks when it gets below 32 degrees...

You want to buy them? Brand new, never used, and they are a piece of MTBNJ biking history!

Wow, I guess that means no mountain biking for me this winter.

You may have just saved my life, Norm.:hmmm:

Given my recent travels, I find it rewarding to help other people. I'll be taking up chess and building ships in bottles this winter. You?

I was thinking midnight bingo and needlepoint.

I am looking for a chess app for my Droid, actually.

This chess app seems to get pretty good reviews. It has a free trial version as well.

However, I would be doing this forum a disservice if I didn't point out the fact that Salsa carbon bars, in my experience, are extremely fragile and Salsa customer service blows donkey dong.

As you were...

checked these bars out tonight and the sweep is right up my alley. They're a bit like a less goofy looking alternative for people that might want try a mary type bar.

I am surprised that I liked them at all. But they are staying on the bike.
