Seeking a couple of women’s bikes for a good cause

JORBA: Morris Trails

I recently joined the Corporate Advisory Council for Homeless Solutions, which serves Morris County homeless families with shelter, temporary/transitional housing and helps them back on their feet. I took a tour of their facilities today. In the course of my visit, I learned that many of them get to and from jobs via bike. I also learned that at present there are two moms that need a bike for just that purpose.

So, I’m reaching out to see if anyone in the northern/central NJ area has a couple of bikes they don’t need anymore that would either be mixte style, or even regular diamond frame, ideally in a medium-ish range. 26’er rigid hybrid or Mtb’s would be ideal. They don’t have to be in perfect working order. I can fix them up before bringing them to the shelter. Let me know when you have a chance.

Thanks in advance!

I know the Boys Club donates surplus bikes from time to time, perhaps @Fire Lord Jim could help

Closing the loop on this. With many many thanks 🙏🙏🙏🙏 to @Fire Lord Jim and the crew at Trenton Bike Exchange, two bikes have landed at Homeless Solutions Inc of Morris County. Pictured are the bikes with two of HSI’s volunteers. They will go to folks in their program that need bikes to get to work.

For those interested in learning more about HSI and or contributing to their cause, you can find more here:
