Sourlands Group Ride Friday 7/5/24 10am

Bummer you can't make it. Any trees down?
I was able to pick up numerous branches, but nothing big fell. I did not ride Boulderama or the lower trails south of the Pipeline so I don't know about those.

Cool. Thanks for the pickup sticks!

Gonna be slick but looks like we may have a window. It's on unless I cancel here in the morning

Thank you George! It was quite fun even tho you didn't tell us we needed chains for our tires. Also, I'm not seeing on Trailforks the trails you took us on, like Slip 'n' Slide, Tokyo Drift, etc...

All kidding aside, I'm looking forward to the group photo in front of the dumpster.

-Rob, the guy who is too stoopid to remember names and was calling Peter "yo flat tire"

Thanks to all who came out on probably the worst day to ride Sourlands. We had fun anyway and indoctrinated some Sourland virgins. Left to right: Dave, @knobbyhead , @rjr44 , @rxpete , @JonF , me. We just did a 3Amigos out and back bc the rocks were ice. We'll have to try again on a dry, less humid day. Only major issue was 3 bee stings though! Glad Peter's flat finally resolved itself.

It was a great ride!! Sourlands didn't disappoint!! Besides being a little hot and humid and slippery, it was a good time. No injuries, no mechanicals (Besides a flat that was repaired).

Keep pedaling was the mantra through the rock gardens (thanks @Patrick!!)

Thank @jShort for the bit of advice. Just passing it along.

Wish I could have made it

Good times today for sure, despite all the challenges. All the slick rock was definitely an exercise in mitigating traction. I think I copped at least 2-3 bee stings. Had to pop a Benadryl on the way home, my face was blowing up! 😂
