Any thoughts as to how might be on a single speed?

Chris I did this in '08 with friends from LI and the woman I was with did it single speed and won her class. This was a good race with varied terrain ranging from pavement to singletrack to ski area. I put a hole in Ati's rush that year (no crash) from a rock bouncing off the downtube. We camped to keep the cost down definitely a fun event and im sure it is better now that it is part of the NUE series. Also when I did it the funds went to help raise money for a school for handicapped which takes the sting out of the fee.
