Tariffs...what to make of them.

Are you saying Bin Ladin shouldn't have been killed or taken or that he should have been left alone?

At least tRump finally admitted that this was about the oil, not the drugs.
Not at all, just interesting how he can't wait to jump on Trump with never any critique on anyone else.
Yes, I'm definitely more to the right but I can see plenty wrong with Trump too.
Did Trump do the right thing here? I'm not sure.
Was it mostly about oil? Probably!
Can possible an argument be made that this move will help lowering oil prices by opening Venezuela again and also hurt Putin by lowering Russia's oil profits (financing the war)?
One thing is for sure that pretty much everything comes down to Money!

The difference with trump is that he does whatever he wants without the approval of congress. Even worse is the fact that the republicans in congress let him get away with it. Every week it is something new. Bit by bit democracy is eroding away.

Is there any doubt in your mind that trump slept with underage women regularly throughout his life, and as described, in a forceful and violent way? Also he's a failed businessman many times over bailed out by foreign entities, and most everything he says or things he quotes are 100% lies, and he speaks like he's a total bigot? If you can admit to this, is it all OK with you as an American and a human being? I was born and raised Republican but will always be a never-trumper. There needs to be a new voice on the right that focuses on conservative values. And I emphasize the word "values". And Obama taking out Bin Laden? Fck yeah! Not you? Really?

https://www.instagram.com/reels/DN3HBkAXm2X/ This is awful for anyone besides boomers, current home owners or the wealthy. The middle class is dying and the elite are becoming more elite. The change from 2000 to now to buy a starter home went from 4x annual salary to upwards of 11x. How does the current generation do this and pay for college, living expenses etc.
When I bought my house in 1981 it was 1 week net with 16.75% interest.

I honestly don't care if they threw Maduro in the same part of the ocean they dumped bin Laden, the guy is a major asshole..... But HOW many times have we seen what happens when do regime change... Iran in 53.. Guatemala in 54... Cuba.. Vietnam... arming the mujahideen in Afghanistan... trying to prop up an Afghan government... overthrowing Saddam... On and on and on.... Now we're "running Venezuela".... I'm sure this time everything will work out fine... the Venezuelans are chomping at the bit to hand over there resources to the good people of Exxon and Citgo.

What is that democracy you talking about😉As far as I know democracy left this country long time a go.

The arguments I've heard so far is none of the US oil companies want anything to do with Venezuelan oil. The infrastructure there is barely functional after decades of neglect and as far as US refining is concerned, was "replaced" some time ago by the Canadian Oil Sands output which is a similar grade type - that the US companies have already invested billions into developing. For them to invest into getting the Venezuelan fields back to operating at full capacity would cut into the narrow profits of the Canadian supply.

I suppose there's a chance DJT might be able to convince the Saudis to make the investment, but considering Venezuela is already a member of OPEC, if they wanted to make those investments they already would have.
