Tell me where you rode today...

All done. Semi-chill riding around Cheakamus Lake before heading out.

Ran into Team MTBNJ at Ringwood today while I was cruising down the top half of the white trail. I was in top gear and stopped in a hurry to let them climb up(common courtesy). After they passed I started to get going again(still in top gear-too much torque) and snapped the chain. I thought I could get more miles out of it the past few weeks as I knew it stretched/worn( that’s my fault). Decided to glide down as I was close to the top of the mountain and could make it back to Ryerson with minimal walking. About 30 seconds later on the technical section near the pond I admittedly was going faster than my half worn Rekon could handle and it exploded. Gash was too large to patch and was not worth putting a tube in at that point, so did the classic walk of shame. I have to say it was a nice day for a hike(or at least that’s what I kept telling myself 😂).

Good seeing you Victor. Sounds like a bit of a train wreck. Better than work. Amirite?
