BIG M Udell Hills, Manistee, Michigan

Blistering fast straight away down hill singletrack. Long ish climbs but the reward…… chef’s kiss!!!
Orchard beach campground on the shores of Lake Michigan. One more day of riding (Arcadia dunes) and then the slog back to New Jersey in the predicted rain for Thursday-Saturday. What a trip. So happy. Love my home away from home.

See if you can find an Oberon still this late in the summer - I think you will like it.

I was planning to do some TM, but someone beat me to it this morning... stb, perhaps?

This fallen tree is around 12" in diameter and a bit too much for my hand saw so it'll have to wait for someone with a chainsaw... I did manage to clear a couple of saplings that this tree took down with it and were slightly blocking the trail.

The amusing part is it looks like something I could bunny hop over, but what's hard to show in this picture is the elevation drop on the other side - so you would be landing from about 4' up. There is also a bit of exposure to the left with a lot of unpleasant things to land on should you eff up. The loose log was the start of my delusions about ramping it, but while there are a lot of rocks, most are either embedded into the ground or are already in use to armor the trail.
