It looks like you went thew Hammonton, by the FAA center or AC Airport and wound up In AC ocean.

Essentially yep! My crew started in Philly and I met them at Cooper River Park, then we meandered our way down to AC

Not sure if all the people came off the boats since there were still people on the two anchored boats. Which means people are now parking at Hartshorne and carrying in all their coolers, floats, blankets and towels to have a beach day there. Not the first time I've seen this.
