Took a day off the bike yesterday did some Bodyweight/core stuff in the morning before work to keep mixing it up.

Needed a harder workout today all this indoor riding makes me feel like I’m losing fitness not improving. Did the climb portal Crow Road twice.

First time up gave it about 90% of FTP effort 2nd time up I backed off a little and then put in a hard dig at the end. Happy with the results and Zwift told me it was my best power output for an hour so it must be true 😜

Had a friend of mine offer me his snowshoes he’s not using for free just as I was thinking maybe I would try that out and get a pair for the first time. Something else to do for exercise during this shitty weather.

Rat in a Cage
trails are still a no go, snow piles are rideable and sometimes you bring a shovel to shape the rollers the plow created. Gravel road behind the school was plowed so that was exciting lol.
January 31/31 done, 60 hours. Goal was higher than the 62 last janaury but this week did that in.

Wrapping up January with another endurance ride indoors after yesterday’s climbing. I planned to do more but I was so bored today even watching my shows.

Had I paid better attention to my monthly total I would have ridden a few more minutes to round up to 35 hours but it’s whatever.

34:56 hours and 626 “miles” most of which were indoors. I somehow did like 54 hours last January but even with the cold I recall being able to get outside more since it didn’t really snow.

February time to do more cross training and not focus on so many hours/miles only on the bike.

The negative temps got me pumped up for a ride, but so disappointed it was only 7-8°F by the time I got out. My record low is still 4°F.

Tried to ride Rutgers Eco, but foot traffic made it too bumpy. Nope'd out real quick. Gonna try to ride some local streams tomorrow.

That was 100% accidental. TDZ Stage 1. Planned on heading out to the Alex Ride in Trenton but have to button up my Florida trip packing and today is the last day I have for that. But FUCK ICE.

Warm-up month for me. Tomorrow the Major Taylor distance challenge starts so I’ll be a bit more motivated to get miles in.
