Hit the D&R towpath to test out the studded tires and dial in the PSI ( 6psi front 8 psi rear seemed to work ok )
Traction seemed premo on the steep ice flows around the spill gate ✌️. Would have wound up in river otherwise )

With the pending thaw and Baldpdate being closed Wed-Sat for hunting, I gave it a try this morning. I had heard it was icy and found some combination of snow, ice and heavy heave. A few trail section with steep stuff and ice was interesting to figure out how to get up it.
With it cloudy today, my fingers are crossed that I may be able to snag some mtb in the morning depending on overnight temps.

1/6. Did my basic midday route. The mild temperature was a nice touch... i did see a Pileated Woodpecker low on the side of a tree but had no chance at getting a photo .
