2/17 1:31 hr Intervals on trainer

Nice day out but strong wind with gusts of 48 mph. difficult to do intervals in that wind so I jumped on the trainer for the second time in the year. I need to get Rouvy, it's so boring looking at my garmin for 1:30 hr!

My calf cramped mega bad this weekend so I can’t walk that great right now. Soooo, easier than normal trainer today.

I finished knitting a hat, except for the disproportionally large pom pom I’ve yet to make for the top of it:

Only had a short window between meetings to get in a recovery ride this afternoon. Was planning to do it this morning before office time but I turned off my alarm instead of snooze this time or I would have had a full hour.

1:02 total over 3 rides

Continuing my plan of doing a harder effort at least 1-2 times each week, I did Stage 1 of Zwift Games this morning. Got in a good warm up and figured I would just stay in the chase group. That worked out OK until basically the final .5 mile before the finish as the last little kicker I blew up and dropped from 33rd to 47th out of 67. then I did like a 20 min spin/cool down to get rid of the side cramps and flush the legs.

I don't race these events to try and win anything other than improving my fitness. I treat it more like a hard group ride and try to push myself which seems easier to do than some of the structured workouts. Pretty happy with the result from a workout/training perspective.

2/19 Z3 ride 1:51 hr Z3 ride

Had to do 45 min in Z3 but ran out of gears and went over at some parts. This is my benchmark hill. It tells me more about my level of fitness than an ftp test. Today I didn’t finish it because Im trying to stick to the training plan.
