VinegarPossibly the only sink related repair that did NOT require the three trips to the store to fix.
however I did buy 2 replacement handles kits in case I screwed something up or lost a washer. Worst case it’s for the next time the spray handle fails in about a year.
I found the same model so I didn’t even have to go under the sink and swap out the hose holder.
any good ideas how to get rid of the hard water stain around the base ?

Maybe CLR? Or https://www.barkeepersfriend.com/ though it might scour the surface a bit

round it over with a router? assuming the interior of that plastic is attractive?

A few years ago i was going double fisted with badminton racquets. Eventually i just replaced everything they were in with PT and vinylAnd it’s that time of year again-
Return of those a$$hole carpenter bees.
I prepared for a round of the usual- up onto the roof, spray cover with the distance spray, and get some foaming stuff into the holes in the eaves.
I tried something different today-
Internets say the preferred weapon is a tennis racket. Don’t have one, so I tried this:

Half a kayak paddle.
I’m going to say it’s the superior armament for the task.
Gives you reach, easy to get a two-handed swing on (forehand or backhand), and they resonate with a nice thunk when you connect.
This has turned a dreaded chore into a really fun activity.
I lost count at 15- I’ll say I was north of 20 on the day, and got all but 2 that I saw.
I’ll try to get Mrs Manic to get pictures when I get back up there to get some Great Stuff in their nests.
Also scored bonus points by squeegeeing the skylights and windows while I was up there.
