The Guitar Player Thread.

The Lake Placid blue Tele is actually a "frankenstein" - a Warmoth body I found on FBMP with a Fender USA neck I bought used (also off FBMP). The body is chambered and has Strat arm and belly counters, so it's really light - as the guitar sits: 6 'bs. 11 oz.

And that's not everything... there's another length of slatwall on the wall to my left with three guitars hanging on it. There are three acoustic guitars in cases in my bedroom. My main Strat on a stand in the living room. And another half-dozen guitars and a couple of amps on loan at my friend's studio.

I had a Carvin TL60 back in the day. I didn't own it for very long, but I remember it was black with a Wilkinson trem bridge. I don't remember much else about it. Today I just have the Keisel Vader.

I really want to get an Ampete so I can easily switch between amps and the speaker cabinet. Right now, if I want to play through the Carvin it would be a bit of work to re-cable everything.

Vaders are sick. My Carvin is technically a Kiesel… I got it a couple years after the rebranding and it was still an option to get the Carvin logo. I thought it was a cool ode to the 80’s shredders I grew up on but now I just have people telling me I don’t really own a Kiesel lol.

I think the only way you can get a Carvin logo now is on the Jason Becker Tribute model:

Might be fun to get one of those someday. I remember longing for one those DC400 models back when I used to get the Carvin catalogs back in the 80s...

yeah I basically took Lee McKinney’s signature Dc600 and made it look more like a Becker tribute. Best of both worlds.
 
I might still have one of those Carvin Catalogs. I was big into Ibanez back then and never pulled the trigger. Actually, I have 4 Ibanezs now so maybe nothing has changed 😂
 
I might still have one buried in one of the boxes of old 80s guitar rags... I was always partial to Les Pauls... and I have 6 of them today...
