The Heckle Report

I was thinking that part of 6 mile orange and red + power lines could be a super fun cx thingy

that is what i was thinking - but as Norm said, it is a demand side problem, so even if the cost of the location could be reduced to make money, it is a long
day for a smaller turnout....

i was thinking some public property under a utility line somewhere.....say franking between s. middlebush and rt 27......

I scoped out a few possible locations under utility lines. Great because nobody GAF about this land the easements are usually mowed a couple times a year and most have have access trails. I even started researching to figure out if there is a precedent for recreational events under said utility lines but probably got distracted by something shiny after a couple minutes. Big problem is the terrain is typically very bumpy and rocky enough that it wouldn't make for a very good CX course.

sounds like a great short track course tho!

A week ago I wasn't feeling to much towards cyclocross but I'm actually riding again and starting to feel better on and off the bike so my stoke-o-meter is on a huge upward swing.

Hopefully picking up CX parts today so I can get the Wraith back into tip top racing condition!

LETS TALK MORE CX AROUND HERE, I'M BUZZING.

Yes sir - i can't wait to get home from va-k. My fangos and new cassette will be waiting for me and that should complete the parts list to give my gravel grinding, commuting heavy bike a much needed make over consisting of:

New wheels - Velocity racing Major Toms
Tires: fangos
Drive trane: full 105 2by

Once its converted and tuned, it will be 6mile time

AND IF YOU ARE GOING TO GO LET ME KNOW

but after getting two nasty blisters removing six tires from three wheelsets, i may shop around for prices on getting them glued up 🙁

I hear you and your loving wife @mandi share wheels...

LOOKS LIKE YOU ONLY HAVE THREE TO GLUE, BRO.

I've seen pictures of the work she does with a brush, why would you consider doing the gluing. Mandi is the P-R-O.

I told James I'll happily glue the wheels....

... but then he's SOL for dinner for the next month.

TAKE THE DEAL @pearl

EGGS! $6 FOR 30 AT SHOPRITE. CLUB SAYVINGZ.

No but seriously I'm only regluing that rear I flatted in Gloucester. Mid spring the Stans let go and I decided to reseal it then let it sit in my furnace of an attic. I probably should have waited until now.

I glued my mud wheels in October and only rode them 2 or 3 times so I'm just going to risk those another year. Maybe I should do both carbons over.. It's just such a pain........ I guess I'll inspect that front. I'm also hoping to try a carbon patch on the rear while I have the tire off if I'm able to make some arrangements.
